Two years later

Wow.    I want to say i love the mysteries of the world.    Tonight my friend Kathy B ( we worked together at Parkview Hospital in Brunswick Maine when that place had a deep deep soul of adventist values meeting modern medicine) came to visit Western Colorado.

Kathy  was the nurse navigator for those going through cancer treatment and her husband was the MRI guy.  We were in the Parkview Community.    I left in 2011 and they left in 2012 (?) and they travelled for a number of years.       As  i was going through breast cancer treatment ( including surgery, radiation and chemotherapy) I started to paint.

My life changed and opened and I have sold art all over the country and even the world .   I had a painting shipped to Granada   Spain and it then moved to Berlin and the collector says it will follow here wherever she goes which may next be Greece.

Anyway.  Kathy's husband bought her one of my earliest paintings and she says it will forever be the centerpiece of her bedroom no matter where she lands ( see the owl painting below)      But tonight she came to visit with her friend Susan.  They both live in Tennessee.   Susan grew up in South America as a missionary.     She has amazing stories and the most beautiful soul.

We shared beef stew and shared time and then hiked up to Devil's kitchen right here in the Colorado National Monument.    It was a special and beautiful night.   Old friends reunited with new.   Of course Kelly had to greet them after the hike with his famous margarita and we spent time connecting.

Susan told me that she has been following by blog and has been "knowing me" from afar.    Some of you might know i had a 10 year blog that ran nearly monthly.  i think it is a very powerful expression of my life for a decade and i want to get it into print somehow.      But to me it was miraculous that this beautiful woman was following my blog in Tennessee .  She is not on ANY social media so i would never had known that she was out there appreciating what i was putting out in the world,

i have been debating about diving back into my website vs not.  These are the things ( my blog) that keeps me wanting to continue.  so tongiht I decided to add a blog post.   It has been a bit stagnant for the last few years.    I feel there may be more to add and tonight affirmed that.

Devil's kitchen.. friends.. companionship. art appreciation.  These are the two paintings that Kathy and Gareth have in their house in Tennessee.

I am considering hosting an open house at my home to share the art that i currently have available.     Let me know if that piques your interest.   Thinking November.
